Main Applications of Spring-Energized Seals

Spring-energized seals are composed of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) or other high-performance materials combined with suitable springs. With the help of spring tension and system fluid pressure, the seal lip is pushed out and gently pressed against the sealed metal surface, achieving an excellent sealing effect. The seals are compatible with a variety of media, including oils, water, steam, air, solvents, pharmaceuticals, food, acid-base solutions and various chemical reagents. The main application scenarios are as follows:
• Axial seals for swivel joints of loading arms
• Seals for paint spray valves and other paint spray systems
• Seals for vacuum pumps
• Seals for beverage, water and beer filling equipment (such as filling valves) and food industry
• Seals for traditional and high-end industries such as automotive, aerospace, chemical and petroleum
